About The Professional Edge

The Professional Edge, a program by RISEC Community Foundation, is dedicated to providing newcomer professionals in Calgary with free, high-quality professional headshots. We believe that a strong professional image is crucial for career success, and we’re committed to helping newcomers put their best foot forward in the Canadian job market.

Objectives

Provide free, professional headshots to newcomer professionals.
Boost the confidence and employability of newcomers.
Facilitate networking opportunities between newcomers and local professionals.
Offer local photographers a platform to showcase their skills and contribute to the community.
Create a sustainable and scalable program that can be replicated across Canada.

Why It's Important

Newcomer professionals often face unique challenges when seeking employment. A professional headshot can make a significant difference in their job search, enhancing their online presence and creating a positive first impression.
