About The Professional Edge
The Professional Edge, a program by RISEC Community Foundation, is dedicated to providing newcomer professionals in Calgary with free, high-quality professional headshots. We believe that a strong professional image is crucial for career success, and we’re committed to helping newcomers put their best foot forward in the Canadian job market.
Objectives
- Provide free, professional headshots to newcomer professionals.
- Boost the confidence and employability of newcomers.
- Facilitate networking opportunities between newcomers and local professionals.
- Offer local photographers a platform to showcase their skills and contribute to the community.
- Create a sustainable and scalable program that can be replicated across Canada.
Why It's Important
Newcomer professionals often face unique challenges when seeking employment. A professional headshot can make a significant difference in their job search, enhancing their online presence and creating a positive first impression. This program aims to bridge the gap and provide essential support to help newcomers achieve their career goals.
