We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to match your skills and interests. Some of our current needs include:

  • Language Mentors: Help newcomers improve their English or French language skills through conversation practice and tutoring.
  • Job Skills Trainers: Share your professional expertise by conducting workshops on resume writing, interview skills, and career development.
  • Community Navigators: Assist newcomers in accessing essential services, such as healthcare, education, and housing.
  • Cultural Integration Assistants: Organize and participate in cultural events and activities that promote understanding and connection.
  • Administrative Support: Provide assistance with office tasks, data entry, and communication.
  • Fundraising and Event Planning: Help organize fundraising events and community outreach initiatives.
  • Social Media and Communications: Assist in creating engaging content for our social media platforms and website.

RISEC: Refugee Immigrant Settlement Education Career

RISEC Community Foundation is dedicated to assisting newcomers in their integration process into Canadian society. Our programs and services are aimed at addressing their immediate needs about their settlement, education, and career in Canada. From language classes and job training to career mentorship and settlement support, we strive to create a proactive environment where every newcomer has an opportunity to thrive and find success in Canada.
