Rehab Rayan
Community Development Manager
We’re excited to introduce Rehab Rayan as the new Community Development Manager for the 1000 Seeds Team at the RISEC Community Foundation. With a solid track record in community development, project management, and volunteer coordination, Rehab brings a wealth of experience and a genuine commitment to supporting newcomers and diverse communities in Canada.
Rehab’s background includes extensive international work, most recently as a UN Volunteer, where she assisted in coordinating global development projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables were met across varied time zones and cultural contexts. Her role as Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Associate Officer with USAID’s SEFPP Project at JSI further honed her data analysis skills and her ability to align projects with strategic objectives, making informed decisions that drive meaningful outcomes. This experience, coupled with her role as a Counseling & Health Promotion Associate Officer with Caritas Egypt on a UNHCR-funded initiative, shows Rehab’s strong capacity to lead impactful health and community programs.
In addition to her impressive work history, Rehab has volunteered extensively with organizations like Resala, a Cairo-based NGO, where she facilitated local outreach, managed team schedules, and optimized organizational efficiency. Her educational journey supports her practical expertise—she holds a Certified Monitoring and Evaluation Diploma from the American University in Cairo and is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at Thompson Rivers University in Canada.
Rehab’s skill set includes proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other digital tools essential for efficient project coordination. She is fluent in both English and Arabic, allowing her to connect with diverse communities effectively. Her collaborative approach and cross-cultural communication expertise are a perfect match for RISEC’s vision of fostering inclusive and empowered communities.
With a commitment to creating positive social impact and an adaptive approach to complex projects, Rehab is set to make significant contributions to the 1000 Seeds Team. Her strategic mindset, combined with her passion for community engagement, will play a vital role in advancing our mission. Please join us in welcoming Rehab Rayan to the RISEC Community Foundation!
