With a Master of Public Policy from the University of Calgary, Nayanika has a solid academic foundation that complements her practical experience in project coordination and policy development. Her dedication to community impact was highlighted by her recent publication on the “Community Impacts of Phase-Out of Coal Fired Electricity Generation in Alberta,” where she explored key policy implications affecting local communities. Her academic journey is further complemented by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, where she studied business administration, data analysis, and corporate social responsibility, providing her with a well-rounded perspective in managing multifaceted projects.

Nayanika’s professional experience includes her role as an Awards Coordinator for the University of Alberta Students’ Union, where she managed funding requests and developed process manuals to improve efficiency and compliance, ultimately increasing application accuracy by 20%. As the Chief Returning Officer for the Political Science Undergraduate Association, she directed electoral processes for over 1,000 students, creating training materials that improved staff procedural knowledge by 30%.
