Welcome Our Newest Team Member: Mickellie Quintal, Community Development Manager – Grant Writer
We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to the RISEC Community Foundation team, Mickellie Quintal, who will be joining us as our new Community Development Manager – Grant Writer.
Mickellie brings a wealth of experience and a strong background in compliance, financial analysis, and administration. She holds a CAMS Certification from ACAMS, a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Mount Royal University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s University College.
Mickellie’s professional journey includes her role as a Senior Compliance Officer – Digital at Commerce Bank from June 2018 to the present, where she managed client onboarding, due diligence, and compliance processes. She developed and delivered regulatory training and maintained compliance standards, ensuring adherence to the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and FINTRAC reporting.
Previously, she worked as an Account Analyst at TF Energy Solutions from July 2016 to June 2018, where she maintained receivables, managed collection calls, performed credit checks, and handled settlements and refunds. Her analytical and reporting skills were instrumental in providing detailed reports for executives.
From January 2015 to July 2016, Mickellie served as the Accounts Receivables/Accounts Payable Coordinator at ATK Oilfield Transportation. She reviewed invoices, managed billing packages, and maintained daily bank reconciliation. She also streamlined billing systems and managed vendor accounts, demonstrating strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
Earlier in her career, Mickellie was the Office Administrator at TMP Consulting Engineers from July 2014 to January 2015, handling front-end administration tasks, including invoicing, receivables, payables, and HR tasks. She gained extensive experience with Microsoft Office, completing proposals, spreadsheets, and specialized projects.
Mickellie’s strong written and oral communication skills, highly effective interpersonal skills, and proven analytical, research, and reporting abilities make her a valuable addition to our team. Her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to exercise great judgment and critical thinking will be instrumental in advancing our mission. Mickellie is highly motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments. Her high integrity and commitment to quality and service, along with her capability of working independently and in a team environment, align perfectly with the values of RISEC Community Foundation.
