We are thrilled to introduce Iris Mayelin Moncion as the newest member of the RISEC Community Foundation, joining us as our Social Media Coordinator. With an extensive background in human resources and a passion for community development, Iris brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our team.
Iris holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Human Resources from the University of Barcelona, complemented by a degree in Organizational Psychology from the University Catolica Santo Domingo. She has also completed a Certificate in Life Coaching from the World Coaching Corporation in Miami and has recently finished Customer Service Training at the Centre For Skills Development in Burlington, Ontario.
Throughout her over 10-year career, Iris has demonstrated her expertise in managing and training staff, handling large-scale budgets, and enhancing organizational efficiency. Her proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, combined with her superior organizational and communication skills, has enabled her to excel in various roles, including HR Manager at Cevaldom and Recruitment Coordinator at Cemdoe. In these roles, Iris has been instrumental in planning and evaluating human resources operations, coordinating training and recruitment activities, and implementing wellness plans that significantly boosted employee satisfaction and productivity.
At Cevaldom, a stock exchange in the Dominican Republic, Iris successfully planned and organized HR operations, coordinated internal and external training, and managed various benefits programs. She also launched wellness plans to reduce stress and increase productivity, resulting in a remarkable increase in employee satisfaction from 83% to 95%. Her ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement has been a key asset in enhancing HR practices within the organizations she has worked with.
As a Recruitment Coordinator at Cemdoe, Iris managed the entire recruitment process, from identifying staffing requirements to screening applications and conducting interviews. She played a vital role in mentoring hospital directors, training them in leadership skills, conflict resolution, and teamwork, thereby helping them define and improve their personal leadership styles.
In her role at Multiplicity, a headhunting firm in the Dominican Republic, Iris supported strategic recruitment initiatives, managed budgets, and coordinated onboarding processes for new hires. Her attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to work independently and as part of a team have been critical to her success in these roles.
At RISEC, Iris will be leveraging her rich background in human resources and her strong communication skills to enhance our social media presence and engage with our community effectively. Her focus on improving business frameworks to meet customer needs and her eagerness to work closely with local community groups align perfectly with RISEC’s mission.
