Project Manager - 1000 Seeds
The RISEC Community Foundation is thrilled to introduce Hendwan Alhussein Abozide as the latest addition to the 1000 Seeds team, where he will serve as Project Manager. Hendwan brings a robust foundation in biomedical engineering, operations, and product management, backed by more than six years of hands-on experience in high-stakes environments. His career has been marked by his commitment to innovation, efficiency, and customer-centered solutions—qualities that align perfectly with the RISEC Community Foundation’s mission.
Hendwan’s journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Engineering & Management from Cairo University, where he developed a technical expertise that includes machine learning, bioinformatics, and programming. His academic achievements are complemented by several standout projects, including a machine learning and mass spectrometry initiative focused on analyzing tumor heterogeneity. This project, which involved complex data analysis and protein ion identification, demonstrated Hendwan’s capability to leverage advanced technology for impactful healthcare solutions — a skill that will be invaluable in his work with the 1000 Seeds group. Professionally, Hendwan has held roles that span product management, operations, and regulatory affairs. As a Product Manager with PBT Fencing Egypt, he skillfully managed inventory restocking and importation while fostering long-term client relationships across B2B and B2C channels. His ability to maintain customer loyalty and drive repeat business will be key in executing projects that resonate with the community and build sustainable impact. Most recently, Hendwan worked as an Operations Manager at Alredwan Trading and Electronics, where he expertly navigated economic challenges, optimized pricing strategies, and ensured seamless service delivery — an experience that has prepared him well for managing complex projects and tight deadlines within the Foundation. Beyond his technical and managerial skills, Hendwan’s commitment to community service is evident from his volunteer work at The Ottawa Hospital and as a play group assistant at the South East Community Center. His multilingual skills in English, Arabic, and German, alongside his cultural adaptability, make him an excellent communicator and collaborator within the diverse RISEC team. With a dedication to excellence, innovation, and community, Hendwan is well-poised to bring fresh insights and leadership to the 1000 Seeds projects. We warmly welcome Hendwan to the RISEC Community Foundation, where his expertise will drive meaningful, community-focused initiatives forward. |
