We are thrilled to welcome Fariba Ahmadzai to the RISEC Community Foundation team as our new HR Admin for Canadian Horizons. With a solid background in administrative support, customer service, and program coordination, Fariba brings a diverse skill set and a dedication to community engagement that will significantly benefit our mission.

Fariba has honed her administrative expertise through roles such as a LINC Admin Assistant with The Neighbourhood Organization and a Clerical Assistant at COSTI Immigration Services. At TNO, she managed critical program databases, including CLARS, ICare, and HARTs, ensuring accuracy and compliance in data entry for learners and CNC clients. Her role also involved frontline administrative support, where she excelled in providing information, managing waitlists, coordinating client communication, and assisting with community development initiatives. Fariba’s attention to detail and proactive approach ensured efficient program management and a positive experience for clients and staff alike.

In addition to her extensive administrative skills, Fariba’s experience includes over two years as an English Dari/Persian instructor at Listen & Learn in Toronto. This role allowed her to work directly with diverse populations, understanding their needs, adapting her teaching methods, and fostering effective communication. As a translator with MSF – Doctors Without Borders, Fariba bridged cultural and linguistic gaps, helping clients navigate important discussions and consultations with compassion and accuracy.

With qualifications that include certifications in ELT, retail, and customer service, alongside a degree in English Language and Literature, Fariba combines academic knowledge with practical skills. Her multilingual fluency in English, Dari, Pashto, and Urdu further enhances her ability to serve a wide range of individuals, making her an invaluable asset to our HR and community outreach efforts.
