Welcome Our Newest Content Writer: Bethany Gillett

We are thrilled to announce that Bethany Gillett has joined RISEC Community Foundation as our newest Content Writer, focusing on educational content. Bethany brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience that make her a valuable addition to our team.

About Bethany Gillett

Bethany holds a Screenwriting Diploma from Vancouver Film School, where she was awarded the Academic Achievement Award. She also earned a B.A. in Film Studies with a Minor in History from Carleton University and completed her secondary education at Twin Lakes Secondary School.

Professional Experience

Bethany has worked as a Grant Researcher at CG Community Services (May 2024), a Receptionist at Granite Ridge Retirement Residence (July 2018 – March 2023), a Dish Washer & Hostess at Rustica Pizza Vino (August 2017 – June 2018), an Employee at Tim Hortons (August 2016 – November 2017), and a Merchandise Production Helper at Orillia Honey (September 2010 – May 2018).

Skills and Expertise

Bethany is known for her punctuality, professional manner, friendly demeanor, and fast learning abilities. She excels in time management, attentive listening, and is comfortable with phone communications. Bethany is proficient in Microsoft Office applications, faxing, emailing, using high-tech printers, and Zoom. She is also WHMIS trained and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Volunteer Contributions

Bethany has volunteered with several organizations, including St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Relay For Life, MS Society, women’s shelters, and children’s camps, showcasing her dedication to community service.
