Founder and CEO of RISEC Community Foundation  

Abel founded and leads RISEC Community Foundation, one of the fastest-growing volunteer organizations supporting newcomers in Canada. RISEC offers settlement services, educational programs, and career development opportunities to help immigrant families and youth integrate into Canadian society.

Abel worked as the Team Leader for the Business Analytics team at Intact Insurance, one of Canada’s largest home, auto, and business insurance providers. In this role, he led high-impact projects, including catastrophe response, data analysis and intelligence, workflow solutions, virtual office integrations, process optimization, project management, and strategic planning. His contributions were pivotal in streamlining operations and enhancing the company’s response capabilities.

Abel, born in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, moved to Calgary, Alberta at the age of 12. He is deeply inspired by his wife, Annabelle, and their three children—Jacob Andre, Arwenn Antonette, and Liam Rafael. Abel’s personal and professional life is rooted in making a positive difference in the lives of others, always guided by his core values of resilience, innovation, and service.
