About Marietta

Marietta is a dynamic advocate of the “Pay It Forward” system, consistently striving to add value to the community. Her philosophy is centered on informing, educating, and inspiring others. When she’s not actively participating in community events, you might find her chasing the Northern Lights or engaging in her many hobbies, which include writing, reading, puzzles, photography, cooking, and dancing.

Professional Expertise

Marietta’s professional journey is as diverse as it is impressive. With over 25 years of combined experience in public health, research, menu and food product development, food service supervision, digital marketing, promotion, and customer service, she has cultivated a robust skill set. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Manila, Philippines, and a Diploma in Food and Nutrition Technology Management from Alberta, Canada.

Marietta’s expertise extends to digital and multimedia marketing, graphic design, and community events planning. As the creative force behind “Your Best Option Marketing and Promotion,” she has been instrumental in developing customized marketing solutions, creating engaging content, and enhancing brand awareness for various clients. Her certifications in event management, photography, desktop applications, hospitality and tourism, wedding planning, and urban gardening further showcase her versatility and commitment to continuous learning.

Community Involvement and Volunteer Work

Marietta’s dedication to community service is evident in her extensive volunteer work and numerous recognitions. She has received awards such as the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Medal Award (2022), Best Cultural Pavilion at Globalfest (2022), and the Formidable Women of Alberta award (2023). Her role as a cultural ambassador for Globalfest Society, Hispanic Arts Society, and Filipino Arts & Culture Society highlights her commitment to multicultural engagement and community building.

She has founded and led several initiatives, including the Sulong Kalayaan Society, One Filipino Cooperative of Alberta, and Diaryo Alberta Society. Her contributions to multicultural media, community outreach, and various cultural events have significantly impacted the communities she serves.
