About RISEC Community Foundation:

Position Overview:

The Writer/Reporter will be responsible for sharing RISEC’s story with the public through engaging written content. This role involves interviewing team members, highlighting their projects, volunteer efforts, and initiatives, and showcasing the various programs offered by RISEC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with RISEC team members to gather insights about their work, projects, and experiences.
  • Write and publish articles, blogs, and social media content highlighting RISEC’s initiatives and community impact.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop content strategies that align with RISEC’s goals.
  • Attend RISEC events (virtually or in-person) to capture stories, experiences, and testimonials for reporting.
  • Maintain an ongoing content calendar to ensure timely updates and highlights of RISEC programs and projects.
  • Engage with RISEC’s audience on social media platforms to promote stories and foster community involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and engage effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online content creation.
  • Passion for storytelling and a commitment to the mission of RISEC.
  • Previous experience in writing, journalism, or communications is an asset, but not required.
