Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will play a key role in the execution of projects and initiatives that support the programs of our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in project management, contribute to meaningful causes, and build their professional network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with RISEC’s mission and goals.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including volunteers, partners, and team members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to the Program Director and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure all information is kept confidential and complies with Canadian data privacy laws.
- Manage and guide a team of volunteers, providing support and direction as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in project management or a related role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to conduct interviews and build relationships within your community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Trello) is an asset.
- Commitment to RISEC’s mission, vision, and values.
