Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will play a key role in the execution of projects and initiatives that support the programs of our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in project management, contribute to meaningful causes, and build their professional network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with RISEC’s mission and goals.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including volunteers, partners, and team members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to the Program Director and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure all information is kept confidential and complies with Canadian data privacy laws.
  • Manage and guide a team of volunteers, providing support and direction as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in project management or a related role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to conduct interviews and build relationships within your community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Trello) is an asset.
  • Commitment to RISEC’s mission, vision, and values.
