Position: Volunteer Presenter
Program Duration: 3 Months

Hours Commitment: 3 to 5 hours per week.
About RISEC Community Foundation:
RISEC is dedicated to supporting newcomer families by offering resources, programs, and community integration initiatives. Our focus includes providing recreational opportunities and access to educational and career resources for new Canadian families, helping them feel welcome and supported.
Position Overview:
RISEC is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Presenter to lead onboarding presentations for new volunteers joining our team. The Volunteer Presenter will play a critical role in ensuring that new team members feel informed, motivated, and excited to be a part of RISEC’s mission. The position is remote, and the commitment is for three months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual onboarding presentations for new volunteers, covering RISEC’s mission, values, programs, and volunteer expectations.
- Clearly communicate RISEC’s policies, volunteer roles, and project details.
- Facilitate Q&A sessions during presentations, addressing questions and providing additional resources as needed.
- Maintain an engaging and friendly approach, ensuring new volunteers feel welcomed and supported.
- Provide feedback on the onboarding process to improve future presentations.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills.
- Comfortable using virtual presentation tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- Enthusiasm for RISEC’s mission and supporting newcomer families.
- Previous experience in training, onboarding, or presenting (preferred but not required).
- Ability to commit to the three-month volunteer period with flexibility to accommodate presentation schedules.
