Job Title: Bookkeeper/Accountant
Event: D2R – Dreams to Reality Event
Organization: RISEC Community Foundation
Job Overview:
The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be responsible for the overall bookkeeping of the event, including recording the budget, tracking expenses, and issuing receipts. This role will also include providing weekly financial reports and summaries after each event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of event budgets and expenses.
- Issue receipts for payments and donations.
- Provide weekly financial reports and summaries after each event.
- Ensure compliance with non-profit financial regulations.
- Communicate regularly with the RISEC Community Foundation Executive Team regarding financial matters.
Estimated Time Requirement:
- Approximately 3 to 8 hours per week.
Compensation:
- Paid after the event, upon receipt of the final statement.
Reports to:
- RISEC Community Foundation Executive Team
Contract Type:
- This is a contract position for the duration of the event, expiring once the event concludes and the final financial statement is received. The contract may be renewed if performance is satisfactory.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Bookkeeping and Accounting.
- Knowledge of Canadian non-profit tax regulations is an asset.
- Ability to work remotely and attend team meetings.
- Must maintain a respectful and professional demeanor at all times.
- Criminal background check may be required.
- References may be required.
