Welcome Shravya Rao, Our New Human Resources Manager!

We are thrilled to announce that Shravya Rao has joined the RISEC Community Foundation as our new Human Resources Manager. Shravya brings over four years of comprehensive experience in strategic HR business partnering, people operations, and employee relations. Her exceptional skills in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment will be a tremendous asset to our team.

Shravya’s career has seen her work with organizations of varying sizes across multiple industries, where she has consistently demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal skills. She has a proven track record of executing HR processes in multinational corporations with a robust business acumen, making her an ideal fit for our dynamic and growing organization.

Professional Experience and Achievements

Shravya’s journey in human resources began as a Human Resources Coordinator at VIC Intech in India, where she developed and executed HR strategies for recruitment, performance management, DEI strategies, employee engagement, and overall talent management for approximately 200 colleagues. She facilitated smooth onboarding processes and contributed to organizational development by assisting in the creation and delivery of training programs.

Her subsequent role as a Human Resource Associate at Amazon Development Center Pvt. Ltd. saw her providing strategic guidance and leadership in talent management practices for a workforce of around 300 colleagues. Shravya’s innovative approaches and analytical skills led to a 15% increase in engagement scores through enhanced rewards and recognition programs. Her meticulous attention to detail ensured compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

At HSA Cloud Solutions Inc., Shravya assisted with the recruitment process, facilitated onboarding, and supported the administration of employee benefits programs. She also performed various administrative tasks to support the HR department’s daily operations, demonstrating her strong organizational skills in managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Most recently, Shravya worked as a Technical Support Advisor at Transcom, where she provided exceptional technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers, ensuring high performance metrics and customer satisfaction ratings.

Education and Certifications

Shravya holds a Post Graduation Diploma in Business Administration from York University, Toronto, and a Post Graduation Certification in Project Management from Conestoga College, Ontario. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad, India. Her academic background, coupled with her extensive HR experience, equips her with a unique blend of technical and managerial skills.

Technical Proficiency

Shravya is proficient in HRIS systems like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and BambooHR. She has expertise in payroll processing software such as ADP, and is highly skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and database management tools. Her knowledge of telecommuting tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Slack ensures smooth virtual collaboration within the team.

Volunteer Experience

In addition to her professional achievements, Shravya has volunteered at York University, offering HR support to non-profit organizations and assisting with volunteer onboarding and training coordination. Her dedication to community service aligns perfectly with RISEC’s mission to support families and newcomers.
