We are thrilled to welcome Rodelyn de Guzman to the Canadian Horizons team at RISEC Community Foundation, where she will be serving as our HR Manager. Rodelyn brings with her a wealth of experience and a strong background in both human resources and administrative roles, making her an invaluable addition to our organization.
Rodelyn has over six years of experience working in the Department of Education in Cavite, Philippines, where she held various administrative positions. Her roles included serving as an Administrative Officer II, where she demonstrated her ability to manage office inventory activities, prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, and maintain accurate records for financial processing. Her attention to detail and commitment to fostering a positive work environment were instrumental in boosting employee morale and ensuring smooth office operations. She also played a key role as a member of the Bids and Awards Committee and served as the Secretariat for the District Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board, further showcasing her expertise in human resources management.
In her previous role as an Administrative Assistant II, Rodelyn managed essential human resources tasks such as updating employee files and managing time-off requests, ensuring compliance with company policies. Her ability to manage critical information with precision, coupled with her problem-solving skills and solution-focused attitude, has made her a trusted and effective team member in all her previous positions.
Rodelyn’s educational background in Business Administration, with a focus on Human Resources from Centennial College in Toronto, and her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, have provided her with a solid foundation in both business and HR principles. She is also proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which enhances her capability to manage data and communications efficiently.
With her multilingual abilities in English and Filipino, strong communication skills, and a passion for continuous learning, Rodelyn is well-equipped to lead and support our HR initiatives at Canadian Horizons. Her empathy, resilience, and dedication to providing relief and support to her colleagues make her a perfect fit for our team. We are confident that Rodelyn will contribute significantly to the success of Canadian Horizons and the broader RISEC Community Foundation mission.
