His ability to transform client ideas into visually compelling designs is complemented by his proficiency in front-end web design, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Lonny’s ongoing efforts to expand his technical knowledge, such as learning Python, demonstrate his commitment to staying current with evolving design technologies.
His experience as a Lead Hand at Oldcastle Building Envelope in Langley, B.C., provided Lonny with invaluable leadership and coordination skills. Overseeing the complete tempering process, he ensured high safety standards and efficient production workflows. His role required meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members, skills that are essential for managing dynamic social media content.
At Kingston Flooring in Abbotsford, B.C., Lonny’s role as a Flooring Installer and Foreman further developed his design and project management capabilities. This experience also emphasized the importance of customer support and responsiveness, qualities that will enhance his role in engaging our social media audience.
Lonny’s tenure at Cenovus Energy in Christina Lake, Alberta, as a Lead Hand in Specialty Construction and Pipe Maintenance, showcased his aptitude for design and inspection in high-stakes environments. His responsibilities included designing and constructing prefabricated structures, inspecting for safety hazards, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. These tasks required a high level of precision, problem-solving, and communication, all of which are crucial for effective social media content creation and management.
Educationally, Lonny is equipped with a Graphic Design Diploma from the Visual College of Art and Design, solidifying his foundation in the visual arts. His formal education, combined with his extensive hands-on experience, positions him as a versatile and innovative designer.
