Meet Joyce Olayori: Our New Human Resources Manager for the Canadian Horizons Magazine Team!
We are delighted to welcome Joyce Olayori as the new Human Resources Manager for the Canadian Horizons Magazine Team at RISEC Community Foundation. With over 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, management, and HR strategy, Joyce brings expertise and passion for fostering inclusive and productive workplace environments. Her journey in the field of HR has seen her excel in diverse industries, and we are excited for her to bring this knowledge to our team.
Joyce’s professional experience is characterized by a strong track record in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding top-tier talent across multiple sectors, including finance, marketing, telecommunications, and non-profits. Her most recent role as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the American International Insurance Company saw her lead full-cycle recruitment processes and develop innovative strategies to attract diverse candidates. Joyce’s strategic sourcing initiatives and HRIS deployment significantly reduced time-to-hire and increased the quality of hires, demonstrating her ability to drive organizational success through effective HR practices.
In her role at Deloitte & Touche, Joyce served as a Talent Management Consultant, where she implemented various recruitment strategies and managed end-to-end talent acquisition processes. She developed strategic talent management initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent and championed diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to enhance workplace culture. Joyce’s focus on data-driven decision-making and trend analysis contributed to continuous improvement in people operations, helping organizations thrive in competitive markets.
Joyce’s expertise also extends to her work as a Recruitment/People Operations Specialist at Rovedana Limited, where she oversaw HR operations, from onboarding and performance management to employee engagement and compliance. Her commitment to fostering a positive work environment was evident in her contributions to employee wellness programs and her dedication to enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Joyce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, providing her with a strong academic foundation in understanding human behavior and organizational dynamics. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Joyce is passionate about community involvement. As a facilitator and coach for a student health club, she has demonstrated her commitment to empowering others and promoting holistic well-being.
