Welcome Announcement: Introducing Our New Community Development Manager (CDM), Issah Silagan

We are thrilled to welcome Issah Silagan to the Risec Community Foundation team as our new Community Development Manager (CDM). With her diverse background and proven track record in sales, marketing, and community development, Issah is set to make a significant impact on our mission to support newcomer families in Canada.

Issah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management from the University of San Carlos. She has also honed her skills in Marketing at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). 

Over the past nine years, Issah has built an impressive career in the corporate world, excelling in sales and marketing roles. Her experiences have not only refined her interpersonal and customer service skills but also enhanced her public speaking abilities and expertise in social media management.

Throughout her career, Issah has demonstrated an exceptional ability to connect with diverse individuals and create meaningful relationships. She has received recognition as one of the top-performing property specialists in her division, a testament to her dedication and skill. Her professional journey includes key roles such as Executive Property Specialist at Robinsons Land Corporation, where she promoted property sales through various social media platforms, and Social Media Marketing Intern at Goodskin Cosmetics, where she managed daily content postings and interactions.

In her new role at RISEC, Issah will focus on developing mutually beneficial relationships with non-profit entities across Canada. 

Reporting to the Business Development Coordinator, she will be instrumental in identifying and securing resources, sponsorships, and support to further our programs and initiatives. Her strategic approach and ability to forge strong partnerships will be invaluable as we continue to expand our outreach and impact.

Issah is also deeply committed to volunteer work, having engaged in activities supporting animal welfare, social services, environmental causes, arts and culture, and disaster and humanitarian relief. Her passion for giving back to the community aligns perfectly with RISEC’s values and mission.

We are confident that Issah’s contributions will greatly enhance our efforts to provide opportunities and support for newcomer families. Her enthusiasm and dedication to our cause are truly inspiring, and we look forward to the positive changes she will bring to our organization.
