We are thrilled to introduce Fraira Lora as the newest HR Manager for RISEC Community Foundation. Based in Scarborough, ON, Fraira brings a diverse and extensive background in human resources, recruitment, and administrative support. Her broad experience and dynamic skill set make her an invaluable addition to our team, where she will play a crucial role in enhancing our HR functions and supporting our mission to help newcomers in Canada.
Professional Journey
Fraira’s professional journey is marked by a variety of roles that have honed her skills in HR and administration. Currently, she serves as an Appointment Setter at Loyal Seal Windows & Doors in North York, ON, where she excels in scheduling appointments, cold calling, telemarketing, and persuasion. Her goal-oriented approach and ability to manage multiple tasks have been key to her success in this role.
In addition, Fraira has been working as a Freelance Administrative Assistant, where she manages the CEO’s calendar, schedules meetings, organizes appointments, and provides critical administrative support. Her role involves screening and prioritizing emails, drafting internal communications, processing invoices, and addressing inquiries from students and prospective students. This position has further developed her organizational and communication skills, ensuring that she can handle high-pressure environments efficiently.
Previously, Fraira served as a Scheduling Coordinator at Toronto Water and Air, where she scheduled appointments, communicated with clients, and provided administrative assistance. Her ability to follow up and ensure client satisfaction was a significant asset in this role.
Recruitment Expertise
Fraira’s recruitment experience is substantial. As a Technical Recruiter at Infotech in New York, USA, she worked on positions such as software developers, quantitative analysts, programmer analysts, project managers, business analysts, software engineers, and technical leads. Her ability to identify and attract top talent in the tech industry is a testament to her recruiting acumen.
She also served as an HR Executive Assistant at Sales Roads in Florida, USA, where she assisted with the interviewing and hiring process, filed paperwork, recruited and screened potential employees, and supported meetings and presentations within the company. Her experience in recruitment continued at Leadium in Santo Domingo, where she implemented effective sales strategies, handled high call volumes, and managed daily operations to ensure productivity.
Academic and Technical Proficiency
Fraira holds a college diploma in Human Resources from Centennial College and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from UTESA. Her academic background is complemented by her technical proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks, Workday, HRIS, MS Office Suite, and various other HR and administrative software. She is also bilingual in English and French, adding an extra layer of versatility to her profile.
